The Wayfare Festival
After the successful release of our first three issues, we invited Wayfare Magazine readers to join us at The Wayfare Festival! Guests listened to incredible speakers, enjoyed great music and in general relaxed in the company of other seekers of divine truth. The Wayfare Festival takes branding cues from our magazine, while taking additional inspiration from that classic Americana, the summer camp. I took the map-making typeface Decimal that we use in our print magazine, and made it our festival typeface. I created a graphic language that took cues from maps, including using a topographic map of the location of the festival and implementing icons symbolic of dialogue, faith and our connection to nature. Our main event poster was rise printed, and I implied a riso texture onto our other signage and digital assets. 50 participants went home with a riso poster to remember the event.
